For those of you in need of structured workouts, but can’t make it to the gym then demandFITNESS might be your answer. Demand Fitness is an online website that has over 250 downloadable workout videos to check out. For an incredibly low monthly fee, you can have access to TONS of helpful workouts. This program would be especially good people do not have access to a gym, or who need to be home with their children or for people who travel a lot for business. The website is easy to navigate and offers “troubleshooting” advice on every page- it seems everybody’s computer is different so viewing the videos might need to be tweaked a bit. I run Mozilla Firefox and I needed to “zoom” the video in order to see it on the full screen- but once I figured it out, it worked great.
The variety of videos is enormous. It goes from Cardio Kickbox to Kettlebells to Balls and Bands and athletic conditioning. If you’re into striptease there is a complete 27 minute cardio session teaching you exactly how to move your hips (ha ha ha). Cardio Dance was similiar but if you’re into that sort of thing or if you wanted to learn particular moves in the privacy of your home- then you should check out Demand Fitness. I thought the videos with the balls and bands were particularly well taught and demonstrated. As far as the running drills- not so good on the demonstration. In addition there is Hatha Yoga, Power Yoga, Heavyweight Yoga…demand it, and you will get it. You can watch little previews of each one before downloading it to your computer or you can just watch it live right then.

What girl is going to turn down a product review for a toothbrush? Ok, you guys are going to laugh at me, but, you know we all need good oral hygiene! (For those of you who don’t know, I just had my braces taken off for the second time in my not-so-young life.) I’ve been using the Oral-B for a month now and I’ve enjoyed using it. It’s not too rough or too soft on my teeth. I like the gripper for my thumb and the cheerful colors. According to the website, the Oral-B Cross Action removes hard to reach plaque, reduces Gingivitis and polishes away surface stains. In addition, the Blue Oral-B Indicator bristles fade halfway so you know when to replace the brush.
A few interesting tidbits from Women’s Health regarding your teeth:
1. Floss those pearly whites (You are missing 30% of your teeth if you don’t floss!)
2. Gingivitis affects 50% of all U.S. adults. You need a mouthwash that’s been proven to prevent and reduce gingivitis.
I learn something new everyday. What did you learn today?

Problem: Getting to the gym with everything you need! Whenever I walk in the gym, I always have ten things in my hands. Today, I left one very expensive cycling shoe in the parking lot! Yikes, I was halfway home before I realized it was missing. In addition to the water bottles, keys, glasses, and cell phones, I’m usually carrying surplus diapers, wipes, fishy crackers, juice boxes, protein snacks for myself. Going anywhere requires tons of stuff to be hauled around, misplaced and or smashed at the bottom.
So, for all of you gym enthusiasts- here is one bag that was designed strictly for the gym.
Vicki Forster, founder of the Fitness Caddy, invented this very handy bag!

“As a longtime aerobics enthusiast, it was great for me to have a place to workout like the YMCA so close to home. The problem came when I would get out of my car with my water bottle, towel, purse, keys, cell phone, etc. I think I got a better workout bending and picking up all my dropped items that I did in the aerobics class!”
The black microfiber bag has a spot for your cell phone, cooler for your water bottle, hook for your keys, and a loop for your towel. On the back of the bag is a secure pocket for your license, money and membership card. It might be handy to just photocopy your license and keep the copy in the bag, so, you won’t have to worry about transferring it every time you hit the gym.
You can purchase your very own Fitness Caddy directly from the website. The cost is $20 plus shipping. Vicki has also created a Golf Caddy and a Cruising Caddy for all your exercise needs.
JUST FOR YOU!

One lucky winner will win a Fitness Caddy. Simply click over to the website, check it out, and come back and post a comment on how it would benefit your fitness program. A winner will be picked using Random.org on May 12th at 9pm (PST). ****110 winner
