Age is still inspiring..

I’ve written on this subject many times, but, it never hurts to go over it again. Anybody see the results of the Olympic Trials this weekend in the marathon? There are many women who competed in the marathon that were over 30 and there was one still competing at age 50! Wow. Especially with women and marathons, I’ve noticed that age really doesn’t matter that much…then, you can look at the women who competed in the games {The CrossFit Games} last year who were closer to 40 and mothers, more than 1, I can tell you.

Lately, I’ve been known to say, “Yeah, and I’m 40.” and the answer from whomever I speak this to, should be, “Yeah, so.” If you want something bad enough, you put the time and effort in, you clean up your diet (that includes the good stuff like wine and chocolate), you sleep right, then just maybe you’ll earn you’re right to be where ever you want to be.

Cheers to a new year, new you!

    Great post!

Healthy older people inspire me. I have a very active 99-year-old female neighbor who can out-walk me.

I can’t do anything about my chronological age, and I don’t try to compete against anybody else.

Right now, I’m a 68-year-old fat guy, and my goal is to lose 5 pounds a month until I reach age 70 in June 2013. That would put me at a nice 150 pounds.

What a brilliant post. You should do a series! :)I did a sort of blogging for dummies over on one of the craft forums and I thought it was too simple for them, but the amount of emails I got asking questions just like what you addressed was unbelievable. As young
people today we have grown up with computers, but it’s easy to forget that even people just a few years older have not! Really good post! :)
