NUX Review and Giveaway

September 29th, 2011 · 27 Comments

One of the best parts of being a fitness blogger is the opportunity I’ve had in testing out new workout brands.  I eat, sleep and breathe in workout clothes, literally, and have loved being a product tester for women’s workout clothes.  It’s particularly fun when I get to feature new brands that most of us haven’t heard about.  NUX is one of those newer brands, but, has already received great publicity in Fitness Magazine, Real Simple, Health and Shape Magazines.

Apologies for the photo quality, I went to extreme measures to ask bribe my child to take the photo and after six attempts, this was the best of the bunch, but I did want you all to see the outfit.  NUX was kind enough to send me a complete outfit for purposes of review.  Pictured above is the V-FitnessPants and the Sport Hoody.  As you can see, NUX is a very sexy, form fitting brand that offers fabulous colors of workout wear. I love that green Sport Hoody.  My favorite piece of the three items I received was the Focus Bra {not pictured here} which has become my “go-to” bra for work. It’s super comfortable, it breathes well and it doesn’t pinch me anywhere.   These clothes are meant to let you shine on any workout day.

From the website:

NUX delivers a fresh approach to activewear with a collection of engineered seamless designs that combine fashion and performance with comfort and freedom of movement. Each piece is made with a special blend of yarns that have moisture absorbing properties built into the fiber.

GIVEAWAY TIME:

NUX is offering one winner the V-Fitness Pants and Sport Hoody!   Please take a minute and visit their website and come back and tell us what you think!  You can also “like” them on Facebook or follow them  Twitter for the latest updates, sales or new products coming out.

Contest will run through Sunday, October 2nd.  The winner will be drawn at random and announced on Monday, October 3rd.

FTC- A big thank you to NUX for sending me these clothes for purposes of review and the opinion above is my own.

I really like the tanks that are trimmed in black. I think it looks so much nicer to have the trim matching the black pants I always wear!

Septemebr 30th Is International Children’s Growth Awareness Day!
My name is Kim Wackman and I am from Colorado. My daughter has a rare growth disorder called IGFD, Insulin-like Growth Factor Deficiency also called IGFD or IGF-1, is a relatively new discovery as a growth disorder. I ran the NY marathon in 2010 to raise money for The MAGIC(Major Aspects of Growth in Children) Foundation which is a national non-profit organization created to provide support services for the families of children afflicted with a wide variety of chronic and/or critical disorders, syndromes and diseasesthat affect a child’s growth. My Emma has gone from not being on the growth chart at all to the 9th percentile after a year on Increlex. She looks healthier, eats better, sleeps better… It is thanks to the the MAGIC Foundation’s information and networking that has gotten my family to this point,

TODAY is my MAGIC family’s first attempt to unite throughout the world with the goal of spreading information about the importance of monitoring a child’s growth pattern. Did you know that monitoring a child’s growth is NOT just about height? Children’s growth (how much they grow each year) is a major indicator of their overall health. If they are growing at least 2 inches each year (after the age of 2 and before puberty) it is a strong sign that they are healthy. If they are NOT growing this bare minimum, it can be an early warning sign of underlying health issues such as disease, tumors, hormone imbalances or unidentified syndromes. Paying attention to those height markers made on walls by parents, and the growth charts at the physicians offices is a routine and often overlooked tool for catching problems in their early stages.

On Sept. 30th, MAGIC families throughout the world will be sending out emails, posting to groups, putting up posters….about children’s growth. It is a monumental effort by just a few (as most of these conditions are rare) but we are hoping that our friends and family help us and keep spreading the word!

If you will, please forward this message to your family and friends to help spread the word – or if you can post on your blog or social media accounts about these efforts. The link below can be copied and pasted to any of your social Media accounts or blogs and it will even automatically have a poster and photo drawing that is informational.

Thank you in advance for taking the time! You are very much appreciated. Who knows, your efforts may reach someone who has a child whose life may be forever changed by this information.

I am so glad I happened upon this review. My daughter and I are always on the lookout for great stores that sell workout gear. She is a dance/fitness instructor and is always looking for something new and I am always trying to find something new to buy her. We will definitely be following them–they have her ‘look’ of the clothing she loves.

It was interesting that they give compression levels for their products.
