Gift Ideas for Mother’s Day

May 3rd, 2010 · 1 Comment

DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Machine, $85.95.

Jewelry by Bronwen Online. Prices start at $42.00.

A Killer Dress! Patagoina, $79.00.

Sur La Table Grilling Basket, $34.95.

Since we visited this olive oil farm in Italy, I can personally recommend this brand as a high quality- save for special occassions, Italian Olive Oil.  However, unless you live in Canada, you can’t ship it to the US without spending $30 on shipping! So, anybody want to recommend a high quality olive oil for us US citizens?

These are just a few ideas for this coming Mother’s Day.   Bottom line, however, is to make the mother in your life feel special!  Love them and take care of them as if we were a queen, just for one day.

What do you want for Mother’s Day?

Let me add another great gift idea for Mom on Mother’s Day that is so unique and clever, she’ll be using it all year round. Give her a gift of membership at http://www.spinarecipe.com. She gets to play a slot machine to select recipes to cook. Then she can spin the wheels for the ingredients. No more thumbing through page after page of recipes, only to be frustrated at not being able to make a decision about what to make. Spin-a-Recipe puts the fun back into cooking, giving you delicious nutritious dishes done your way.

Best of all, while you’re giving your Mom a gift, you’ll also be helping people less fortunate put food on their table. Spin-a-Recipe donates a percentage of its profits to Heifter International. Go to http://www.heifer.org to see the great things it does.

Just realize that giving a gift of membership is a win-win-win situation. Mom gets the ultimate decision-maker, you get a delicious meal, and someone less fortunate gets both food and a sustainable income. Yes!
