Incredibly Useful Tool for Runners: SPIbelt *giveaway post*

November 7th, 2009 · 28 Comments

Big enough for cell phone, chapstick and a key.  This is a fantastic tool for ALL o f YOU fitness fanatics who always have something to carry!  Personally, I leave the phone in the car, but, always have gel or key needs.  The SPIbelt is also big enough for at least two gel pockets, a key, and a chapstick.  When I took this belt for a run, I worried that it would bang around my back- but, amazingly, it didn’t!  I’ve also found this belt to be useful on the field when I’m teaching.  One note:  the pocket is good for the phone + 1 key + chapstick, NOT a large bundle of keys that teachers carry!

You can check out SPIbelt online here.

They retail for $21.

And, I have one to giveaway!!

Please leave a comment on what is a MUST HAVE when you go out for a workout and you will be entered to win.  Winner will be announced on Tuesday, November, 10th at 9pm.  PST. U.S. Residents only, please.

P.S. A big thanks to the owners of SPIbelt for sending me one to try!

Interesting… I was just looking at the SPIbelt website the other day. I was curious if it would hold my iPhone and not bounce while I ran. I like the idea of the minimalist size, but potential to hold a lot.

I only carry a key and a couple of tissues, but my husband would love a belt like that . He would carry his phone, key, chapstick, and gel for his long runs.

I’m new to running and am still trying to figure out the “must haves”, so I don’t have any ideas for things I can’t do without. However , the SPIbelt looks like it might easily fall into that category. I’ve enjoyed your website and will be sure to add it to my favorites!

I’m new to running, also and haven’t made it past a 5K, but I would think having a key & maybe a little cash (just in case…) would be the only things I HAVE to have on a run.

This little bag looks so handy!!

I have to have my keys, my phone, food :) and if I had something to carry it in (hint hint) I really could use chapstick!

Garmin and IPod too but didn’t know if they counted.

My must have is gum, I always get thirsty when I run and gum seems to quench my thirst until I can get to water :)

waterbottle and chapstick. For some reason I lick my lips when I work out, strangest thing. Have to reapply several times to prevent chapped lips!

I need to get a gear belt for my longer runs. I normally run from the house so I don’t need to worry about keys but a spot to put a gel or even a cell phone would be nice. I get worried that one I day I am going to trip and hurt myself and be in the middle of nowhere on a trail run.

I must have chapstick any time I run outside because my lips gets SOOO chapped especially during the winter. This would be perfect to carry that.

I have to have at least the house key, my ID, my blackberry and a gel or two. I keep thinking that if I slather enough stuff on my lips before I go, I’ll be able to go out without it, but no…so lip balm, too.
