Our school year is starting again soon, and I thought I’d share my favorite books for kids with you. We reread these every year. They can teach kids everything they need to know about sports, performance, perseverance, social skills, social concerns, and I remember these fondly!

Wilma. by Kathleen Krull.

Jump Rope Magic by Afi Scruggs

Teammates by Peter Golenbock

America’s Champion Swimmer by David Adler

Major Taylor, Champion Cyclist by Lesa Cline-Ransome
I’ve love to see more books on women cyclists, runners, yoga – but haven’t found any yet. Any suggestions? What is your favorite book for kids?

That “Wilma Unlimited” title looks particularly interesting. I’m going to check it out on Amazon. I love children’s books that encourage physical fitness and healthful living…
