Plagued with dry, chapped lips?! I am. Between the bad habit of licking dry lips when out running or riding combined with daily sun exposure, I am constantly battling- crackly lips!! And, I seem to eat more lip gloss than I can keep on my lips.
How many of you have a drawer full- that looks like this? I am not loyal to any one brand in that pile, brands include *freebies* from health fairs, lots of kinds from Target, Lucky Chick and my newest favorite, Alba. Anybody tried it? Sometimes my favorite things are completely random purchases such as this one. I used to be a diehard Aveda fan. Except, it got old. And hard to apply and dry. Gone to the drawer full of “never use” but not used up, LOL!! Next up, Target. Lipsticks and lipglosses by the brand “Boots”. Like. Don’t love. Best used on dates out- not a daily thing. I prefer just a gloss with SPF or a tinted gloss with SPF. Ha. Ha. Ha. I don’t think there is a perfect lip gloss, do you?
So, at the organic grocery store (or just a more expensive “upscale”) market, I grabbed Alba’s Tinted chapstick. Love the tint- just a hint of color with scents of pepermint. SPF 18. Website says, “100% Mineral Colors, Chemical Free”. Not sure what that means, but I am liking the product. And the price. $3.99. Yes!

Then, at my next trip to another new market (post coming), I bought this one.

Liking this kind too! Moisturizing, smelling like vanilla, glossy. I feel dressed up, but, not overdone. Again, price was under $5!
So, now it’s your turn. How many of you are LOYAL to one brand of chapstick? Which one do you think saves your lips from sunburn and lasts the longest?

I have heard that Burt’s Bees makes great lip products, but I’ve never tried them.
I actually rarely wear chapstick, but I really like CoverGirl and Revlon’s long-lasting lipsticks for everyday wear.

I am now a devoted fan of Nivea’s A Kiss of Moisture. I use the hydrating lip care, which only has SPF 4. I have thrown out all other lip products.
