When adding new food to my weekly grocery list, I have three priorities; price, health, and protein value. And then there are foods I just love regardless & that should only come home every other week!
Ever tried Fava Beans? Cooked, packaged and ready for salads or eggs available for purchase at Trader Joe’s. Super Convenient, high in protein and cheap. To me, they don’t really have a significant flavor- they just take on the flavor of the oil & vinegar dressing I make or when in eggs, I add Tabasco- so they just taste like the sauce.
Tempeh: 22 grams of protein, high in fiber, cost is low and tasty on top of salad. One complaint? It’s hard to find. I have to make a special trip to the “health food store” in a neighboring town to buy. Otherwise, I love it!
Laughing Cow: Just Love It!
Cambozola Cheese: Delicious!!
So, I realize that I have some kind of cheese fascination! What is your favorite food?

Recently, I have started to love lentils. I usually cook them myself, but when I don’t have time I buy the cooked ones at Trader Joe’s. I love lentil soup, vegetable soup with lentils, lentil salad…
And your cheeses are on the top of my favorite foods. I think I have never met a cheese I didn’t like…

Favorite food? I really can’t say.
But I am loving blueberries lately. They’re sweet and delicious and so refreshing in the summertime.
