Ultramist: Sunscreen for the Serious Athlete or Mom

July 7th, 2009 · 1 Comment

Only recently has it been sunscreen weather around here. From where we live, we can be in the mountains, the desert or the beach in one hour. Sunscreen required in all places. When given opportunities for sunscreen reviews, my answer will be yes. We go through too much of it to say no to. Banana Boat is a popular brand available in most supermarkets nationwide. If you are flying through the store and in need, I’d buy it. ( image borrowed from Amazon- but we had the 85 SPF)

As a mother, I’d use whatever was easiest to get on them. This is easy to apply. Simply shake and spray. And to reach spots like your shoulder blades and back, it’s super easy to point and shoot. I shared it around the pool today and my friend loved it! Thought it was super easy to apply, didn’t mind the smell (distinct rubbing alcohol), and her kids didn’t get burned. Hubby likes it too. Me? Well, it’s not my favorite. The distinct chemical smell is a bit of a turn off for me. If given the choice, I’d prefer Kinsey’s Sunscreen. But, when in an emergency or when attempting to protect a lot of kids’ skin, I’d turn to Banana Boat, no problem.

Banana Boat can be purchased most anywhere but if you’re an online shopper, I’d go to Amazon to purchase.

What’s your favorite sunscreen?

Lately, I’ve been using MD MOMS sunscreen towelettes. They’re so easy to use and it’s almost refreshing to smooth on the sunscreen with a wipe…
