I think it is a great adjunct to sunscreen! I don't like putting it on either- but having red hair I have had to use it all my life!

Now how many sweet potatoes will I need to eat to fully, 100% prevent me from getting sunburned or skin cancer? I am assuming it is a TON and a half! I think I will keep putting my sunscreen on.

I'm with Lindsay... I don't like most sunblocks but I seriously doubt I could eat enough produce to count on that 100% as my sun protection. Even if I do eat those items regularly!

I deeply, deeply despise sunblock lotions and sprays, but I have a feeling that all of the sweet potatoes in the world wouldn't protect my fair skin in the summer. However, since all of the foods listed above have various other health benefits, sun protection might add some incentive to eat them.
