In case you were wondering what I eat everyday ( you may not!) it is seriously boring…But, I thought I’d share it with you anyways.
Weekdays I make Quaker old fashioned oats. Generally have holes during the school day to scarf down food, however, I usually am rushing from one thing to the next. Attempting to complete blog posts and/or Yoga Works homework between classes. So, food is on the fly. After school, again, on the fly. Today, my kids and I, cleaned the house. My big kid will happily vacuum for an unlimited amounts of time, wierd, I know. I’m happy with it. Seriously, I am dashing between laundry, dusting, and cleaning bathrooms all the while he is vacuuming!
Big bowl of oatmeal with Barney Butter, walnuts, craisins and a dash of agave nectar. Served at 8:01 and we rush out the door at 8:15. First tennis class starts at 8:30!
1st snack between 10-11, 1 hard boiled egg, 1 handful of macadamia nuts, and 1 apple.
This is what I thought I was going to eat. Leftovers (roasted veggies + tofu w/ dash of Soyaki Sauce) + California Rolls. But, I didn’t eat the sushi. Instead, I supplemented this with Laughing Cow cheese and pretzels. And, of course, some dark chocolate!
Snack around 5ish. 0% Fage with blueberries, walnuts and a dash of Agave nectar.
Dinner at around 730 when hubby comes home. Frittata with mushrooms, red peppers, zucchini, onions, garlic and bits of ricotta. Side of Applewood Smoked bacon. For desert, I had more dark chocolate!
That’s it. It’s hard to be totally honest when you are planning on journaling it. You don’t know how much chocolate I ate. The soda is not usual for me either. I adore the bubbles and taste but rarely finish a can. Far from perfect on the clean eating scale but not a total purge of crap food either.
What’s your favorite on the go food? Particularly between meals when you are out and about?

I buy these organic peanut butter granola bars that aren’t that delicious to keep in my purse, and I bring a banana with me in the morning to eat while I’m out. If I really loved the granola bars, I’m afraid I’d eat too many. As it is, I just one a day, if that.

Probably not the best for me but I enjoy protein bars like Clif, Larabar, etc. They are so convenient.

I could eat (and drink with you) everyday! Those are some of my favorites, especially the Diet Dr. Pepper! I rarely drink soda however.
Things I eat almost everyday, usually standing up or walking out of the house:
Flax Plus Cereal w/added unprocessed bran and a little Splenda.
Meat – Usually lean chicken, turkey or beef.
Nuts – Almonds, pumpkin seeds
Coffee – One Gianourmous Iced Americano w/half & half
Apples, greens, green vegetable of some kind.
Eggs (every other day)
I’m a protein hound. I have to have protein with every meal or I really get hungry. My “bad” list is coffee w/half & half, sodium (I love jerky) and artificial sweeteners.

Funny I should read this. I just finished eating dark chocolate! It’s my favorite “pick-me-up” snack/dessert. What brand is your favorite?
