A useful giveaway for athletic women..

March 27th, 2009 · 53 Comments

I worked out through both pregnancies. Usually in the same pair of pants- the ones that fit. I bought one pair of Prana Asana pants (in large) that had a drawstring and wore them my entire pregnancy. To workout or to work. And, they fit after I had the baby. Now, there are some wonderful companies that are designing workout clothes for pregnant moms. FIT2BMOM is one that I was just recently introduced to and they have sent me a moisture-wicking headband to try plus a headband and drawstring gym bag to giveaway.

These products would be wonderful to give an expectant mother. And with the waistbands such as they are, it’s likely you could wear post-partum as well.

FIT2BMOM is giving away the above gym bag and headband with every purchase until April 14th- use the code FFM09 at checkout. You can also win it here! Please click over to their new website, then come back and share with us what you do/did for exercise when you were pregnant. Winner will be drawn at Random on March 28th 9pm PST.  (Contest is open to all women)

With my first baby I did prenatal yoga. With my second I swam or walked occasionally. I would have done the yoga but I new it was going to be a C-Section so I felt it wouldn’t help much.

They have some cute clothes! With Mikayla I used the execuse that since I was pregnate I did not need to do anything (I was getting over exercise at the point in my life and I was tired of always dieting). With Lily I tried to stay active I did run a 10K and a 5K in the early days of my pregnancy but early on my back really started bother me. So I had to stop running and even walking a block or two would bother my back. By the time my 3rd trimester came I was ready to start exercising but that was at the start of winter and the start of -25 days so I was not working out outside on those days!

During my first pregnancy, I exercised by swimming and doing back stroke laps. It also eased lower back discomfort. For my second, our family actually planned a vacation to Disney when I was about 6 months into the pregnancy. I did intensive theme park walking. I must have logged in about 10+ miles easily.
