Okay, so my secret to a happy and healthy lifestyle is a little different, and I think you ladies would appreciate it!

Since giving birth to my first son, I had trouble getting rid of the baby weight. A good friend of mine suggested to me a different tactic to regain my old figure back.

She said, every time she accomplishes something that is special in her life, ie- weight loss, promotion..she rewards herself with a piece of jewelry. Thinking it was silly at first, I attempted her technique anyway, and found that it is indeed rather very rewarding! After a few months, I started cutting off 5, 10, 15, 20 lbs! Now, I have a piece of jewelry for every time I hit my 5 lb. goal. It's so wonderful to get to wear jewelry that has sentimental value and a rewarding significance. For me, it's a positive reminder that anything is possible!

Also, while searching online for jewelry sites, I found this great website - Jewelry Information Center (www.JIC.org). It's a site that has TONS of stuff about jewelry (gift giving guides, trend updates, history, cleaning care tips, etc). It also has a section where users can submit their own stories on their favorite pieces of jewelry. I found this quite intriguing at first because I hadn't come across any other sites that offered such highly personalized sections before. Ultimately, this "shared stories" section motivated me to post my story for others to see! It's nice to know others appreciate the same things I do, and it's helpful to read others' stories as well! I can honestly say now, that JIC is my go-to jewelry resource - it's personable, full of information and jewelry ideas and more. I advise you all to give it a try.

If that doesn't totally sell you on it, also know that there's a sweepstakes going on through the end of the month: submit your story, be entered into a contest to win a diamond necklace. Don't mind if i do!

Best!

ok, i've done the jam in yogurt before, but not cottage cheese. why? i don't know :) but now i want to! And egg whites and hummus?? that's a must-do, too :)

i used to do fiber one as "granola" almost every day, but i've cut back a little as i eat alot of fiber... now my crunch in yogurt comes from flax and wheat germ! another healthy habit is using hummus instead of mayo on sandwiches, so much more flavor!!

My healthy eating habit is assembling a bunch of smaller snacks (granola, oatmeal, fresh fruits, small sandwiches) and eating them throughout the day instead of indulging in superlarge meals. By spreading out, I'm less likely to gorge in one meal, and plus I'm taking care in eating good stuff!
