Great idea! I am not currently using videos, but I have in the past. Most recently I used a series of four videos that did core, legs, upper body on one was yoga. They each ran about 20 minutes. A buddy of mine and myself used to meet at my house early in the am and do them to warm up before we ran when we were training for a 10K. Workout videos have helped a LOT of people lose weight!

I would like a video to motivate me

  • 92 Jessica Gugel // Feb 23, 2009 at 12:40 pm

My current workout regimen is pretty crappy. I have a very old treadmill that I try to do some walking on about 3 times a week. I prefer working out outdoors. I’ll park as far away from the entrance to wherever it is I’m going so I have to walk. I always take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. I try to do little things like that which make me get in some physical activity. I do often wear a pedometer that counts steps. I read somewhere you should walk 10,000 steps a day so that’s been my goal lately. But I really need to get in some cardio, get that heart rate up. These videos would be great.
    Thanks for the great contest.

I spin 2-3 times per week, weight train (with a trainer) 1 x per week, do yoga at least 2 x per week and some kind of additional cardio 1-2 times a week (treadmill, elliptical or stair climber). I also try to take a dance class at least once a month, but have been giving that up to spin more.

  • 155 Katie Gardini // Feb 24, 2009 at 2:24 am

I miss working out but I’m now starting to get back into it. I had a herinated disc two years ago (keep in mind I’m only 23!) which put me out for 5 months of therapy, losing my motivation to dance anymore. Then my dad passed away 1.5 years ago and things haven’t been the same. Lately I’m learning to get back up and try getting my body back to the way it used to be. I’m not fat, but out of shape and I hate it. Dancing, cardio makes me happy so hopefully I’ll keep getting motivated! Thanks for the chance to win!!

  • 239 Janice Wright // Feb 26, 2009 at 12:12 am

I am currently a Curves member.

I also always take the stairs at work since July instead of the elevator. I would like to pretend I do this intentionally, but I really don’t have a choice. Our city sufferred major flooding in June & our elevator hasn’t worked since. It’s a forced workout, but I’ve dropped my cholesterol 40 points since last year so I really ought to quit complaining.

Currently: I’m a couch potato – yes, you read that right. When I do work out, I prefer to go on fast walks with my toddler, or use the Wii Fit. I love pilates, so that is an option for me too. I’m actually doing a lot better than I was a year ago. I was on bedrest during my pregnancy for 4 months, and our son was STILL born 1 month early!, and I wasn’t allowed to get up except to go to the bathroom, so I’ve had a tough time getting back in shape, but I am slowly getting better. I can now crouch, kneel down, and walk stairs just fine. :) I am still really stiff – guess flexibility and stomach muscles are next on my list!

    Thanks for the great giveaway!

I just got back to work and now i’m finding it impossible to find time to workout, I’ve been trying to get up in the morning before work and do it, but with showering and breakfast and everything, I really could use some quick workouts that i can get in after work while i’m waiting for dinner to come out of the oven!

  • 275 Cassandra // Feb 26, 2009 at 4:02 pm

I do a lot of walking. During the summer, we play tennis at the park, ride bikes, and roller blade. I have to make exercising fun and blend it smoothly into my schedule rather than have it be a monotonous routine that I am try to squeeze in–otherwise it will never happen.

  • 276 S Carter // Feb 26, 2009 at 4:19 pm

  • 329 Bonnie // Aug 20, 2009 at 12:50 am

In the warmer months, most of my exercise is outdoors working with the horses, walking, and biking. Whenever I can, I sneak in Denise Austin and (recently have been renting) Jeanette Jenkins. In the winter (when its snowing), I use my treadmill and add in exercise videos and Yoga for toning and strength training.

  • 330 Jewel // Nov 6, 2009 at 11:21 pm

My routine mainly consists of alternating an elliptical machine when I do not feel like thinking with at home exercise. My gym membership just expired, so I decided to purchase the elliptical since that is what I usually head to first at the gym. I hope to lose 35 pounds by using this routine.
