A friend once asked me what could she do at home for exercise when you’re home with the kids…Here’s one idea.
A body weight workout: 60+ pounds of kids
Directions: Let older child rest your feet on their ribs. Push off with your quads and get them in the air. Slowly and making sure kid has his balance, let go. They fly. Now to add some strength work for you, bring them forward and back, while kid number two throws himself across your middle.

I’m a bird, I’m a plane…

All the while, trying hard not to fling your big kid across the room!

The end result, one big, PHEW! No injuries and lots of fun.
What fun things do you do with your kids as “exercise”?

My husband and I enjoy pushing our daughter in her jogging stroller at local 5Ks. When we run in our next one, I think we might also enroll her in the 1K Kid’s Race just for fun. I bet she’d love it!
