The holiday gift giving season is upon us, the economy is soft at best, so anything FREE would be great, right? For a simple comment below, you will be entered to win a fitness video. There will be five winners!

The best gift I received was a Pole for mother’s day, but that was right after I became pregnant so I haven’t had a chance to workout with it.
A good gift for a fitness enthusiast would be a wireless heart rate monitor, a customized yoga mat (with a photo or personalized message) or maybe a fitness holiday (a retreat with rock climbing, etc.)

My mom and I give regularly each other exercise dvd’s for Christmas. A great $50 and under gift that I received from my dad for my birthday a few years ago was the entry fee to run a half marathon (my first and only). My dad is a marathon runner so he was pretty excited for me. Of course, it is only a great gift is the recipient wants to be entered in a race!

For my mom,hubby,and kids,the one gift they all got a kick out of and USE (well,mom and son actually,hubby now and then)is a talking pedometer-it gives you your steps and miles walked.Tremendously fun and motivating!Mom lost 20 lbs just competing with it!

The best gift I ever got was my daughter. I was in the hospital 6 weeks, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New years and delivered a 2 lb preemie. That preemie is now an honor student and destined to do great things!!

once upon a time I lived in the third world where everything was just HARDER.
I was lonely.
my birthday morning I woke up to find the others in my ‘commune’ had gone to the market and carried back 2 dozen eggs for me and HARD BOILED twelve.
it sounds so silly but the eggs were such a pain to carry the long walk home from the market place and then the water was always so slow to boil.

I love to run and so a couple of years ago for a Christmas gift my husband registered us for a half marathon. That’s right ‘US’…he’s not a runner but he knew how much I always want him to run with me and so this was his way of saying he would spend a couple of months training with me and then we would run a race together! To me that is the best athletic gift ever!

The best gift I have ever received was a night of peace and relaxation. I have three children a husband and a full time job. My husband sent the kids to his mothers and cooked me dinner. He is a Massage Therapist so I got an amazing massage and a hot bath. It was a night to remember. The best gift for an athlete would by far be a massage to ease those tired muscles.
