Clothing for your lifestyle

August 22nd, 2008 · 14 Comments

Some people I know get really excited about cashmere sweaters. They are the same people who think style is knee high black boots. I am not one of those people. To know me in real life is to know that I wear Capri pants and a sleeveless shirt every single day. (boring, I know) I am of the opinion that clothes should be put on in the morning and taken off at night. That means that whatever activity I have planned for the day, the clothing has to match that lifestyle. In a normal day, I could teach four classes of physical education, 1 hour of yoga, in addition to the normal stuff like child rearing- my clothes need to be able to do all that in one day. Before I found this company, I lived in these.

be present is clothing line for your life. Their philosophy is to offer high quality clothes that are perfect for yoga, but also perfect for the rest of your day.

“To be present, one must always live a balanced lifestyle: listen to your body, let yourself daydream, have fun, sweat, pay attention to your social, sexual and spiritual being.

What can we learn from be present?
The be present team practices all types of yoga; literally every single
different style is practiced by someone here. Be present has a yoga studio
here at the office and different teachers, all of whom teach different
styles worldwide, come in to teach yoga 1-2 times per week. All of the yoga
styles have their own benefit and we strive to stay educated on them all.

Everyone here at be present practices yoga regularly. We are here in
this apparel business mainly because of yoga and its popularity and demand.
Yoga helps to keep life centered. The name ‘be present’ means just that, to
be present in your everyday life, living each day for the day and not for
the past or future – simply taking each day one at a time and appreciating
all that it has to offer.

I am incredibly lucky to have been able to try out these pants and top so that I may share my experience with you. I wash, hang dry, and wear again within three days. I love them because they look great on, offer fantastic abilities to move with me- not against me and they wick dry so fast. The Mobility Pant and all of the pants by be present have a unique ability to function perfectly in a yoga class (Breathe Weave) and then be completely dry fifteen minutes later. My kids and I played a game of soccer in the sprinklers, got soaked and I was dry within minutes. I have been living in these pants from yoga to the park to touring boats on the harbor. They are perfect. Men, they have pants for you too! Check out this fun video. I also have the Chakra top which I wear as much, love as much.

Another interesting note is the colors of the items. There are seven Chakras each with a different meaning. Yellow is the solar plexus chakra which is supposed to give you energy and confidence. (Maybe should wear yellow in the marathon!) The Mobility Pants and Chakra top are also on sale right now and I just bought myself a second pair!

Do you have a favorite piece of clothing? Why do you love it? Share your story.

OK, when I started reading this — I thought — this is not for me. Women’s clothes! Then I saw this up above — “The name ‘be present’ means just that, to
be present in your everyday life, living each day for the day and not for
the past or future – simply taking each day one at a time and appreciating
all that it has to offer.”. And it resonated with me. It changed my perception (a good thing). And, hey, it’s now I’ve also seen it’s not just women’s clothes. I’ll have to check it out – I like the “be present” tshirt.

What’s a favorite for me? A tshirt I received when we volunteered at an Xterra race a couple of years ago – I like the color (yellow) and the saying on the back (Crew Support). And to go with it, a pair of beat up old shorts. They’re comfortable and well-used, just the way I like them!

That is so cool that the shirts are the Chakra colors! and the pants look very comfy.

My fave piece of clothing is my beat up old college sweatshirt. I like to think I am still young enough to wear it. :)

Hiya, i have seen your site when searching a few weeks ago and i really love the design! I just bought a new 3 character domain (cost me a packet) for a niche review blog, and i was wondering if your design is a free or paid one? I’m new to Wordpress and about to set it up, and i would really like to get something with a similar look to yours. Any ideas where i could download or buy something similar? Thanks for your help! :)

Maybe you could change the blog name title Clothing for your lifestyle to more specific for your content you write. I loved the post nevertheless.
