Taking a moment to be grateful

July 10th, 2008 · 6 Comments

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it …
is like wrapping a present and not giving it.

~ William Arthur Ward

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial
into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.
Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today,
and creates a vision for tomorrow.

~Melody Beattie

If the only prayer you ever say in your whole life is,
“thank you,” that would suffice.

~Meister Eckhart

Let’s be grateful for those who give us happiness;
they are the charming gardeners who make our soul bloom.

~Marcel Proust

Real life isn’t always going to be perfect or go our way,
but the recurring acknowledgment of what IS working in our lives
can help us not only to survive but surmount our difficulties.

~Sara Ban Breathnach

Many things to be thankful for, many things to regret (redneck 4th post more unflattering than was meant), today is the day to be grateful for what you have.

Love to you all.
