Sexy in 6: Sculpt Your Body with the 6 Minute Quick-Blast Workout
Confession here: I currently have 4 books half-read all over my house (YOU on a Diet, Sexy in 6 by Tracey Mallet, Eat, Pray Love by Rachel Gilbert, and Broken for You by Stephanie Kallos). Wherever I am, there is a book plus 4 issues of Women’s Health, and a 50 page document from Al Lyman on the marathon plan. Today, I focused on Tracey Mallet’s Sexy in 6 and although the title bugs me; I think the content is solid. I love to read and this blog has really forced me into an education that I NEEDED in the area of food. Our breakfast here is either old-fashioned oats with nuts and raisins or cold Kashi cereal. We could use some new recipes to mix up the old stand-bys. I’d like to focus on a few very tasty smoothie recipes that offer a great variety of fruit and protein.
BERRY PROTEIN SMOOTHIE
1 cup blueberries or strawberries
1/2 pomegranate juice
1/2 cup light soy milk
1 scoop whey protein powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tablespoon of freshly ground flaxseeds
PAPAYA PINEAPPLE PROTEIN SMOOTHIE
1/2 ripe papaya
1/2 fresh or froz. pineapple
1/2 frozen strawberries
1 cup coconut water
1 scoop whey powder
1 tablespoons flaxseeds
BANANA SMOOTHIE
1 sm. banana
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon almond butter
You readers have suggestions for me? What do you eat for breakfast? How many of you would make a smoothie with coconut water for breakfast (where to buy?) that?

I love breakfast! In fact we had it for dinner last night
Most mornings I stick to my protein pancakes (egg whites, oatmeal, either proteing powder or cottage cheese & cinnamon). I do love smoothies, but usually after a workout. I need something solid in the morning for the full feeling. I think Goya sells coconut water in little bottles or cans.

These sound delicious and like I need to get some smoothie materials for tomorrow’s breakfast. Yum.
