See Mommy Run Teammates modeling Oiselle Running Shirts.
Today, we did what I call a “po dunk” little race. (No timing chips, no race results online, no printed results at the finish). The start was on a downhill slope of about 1/4 mile which narrowly hits a bridge really quick. It was a bit sketchy at the start - all those youngun’s racing to get to the bridge first could have killed us all. But, once we got past the bridge, we were able to get into a rhythm. First mile clocked at 7:10 but I don’t know the other split times. The course went up steep slopes, dips through mud, down cobble stone shady trails, around lakes and up a steep incline before the finish. Seriously, not an easy 3.2 mile race. Two of my teammates had never run a 5km before! We all finished within one minute of each other (Bobbi- long story would have finished in 19 minutes, Megan 23:17, Katy 23:40, Me 24:00, & Amber 29:00(?) pushing BOB stroller). We swept the top 4 places for women in this race, in fact, I saw very few men in front of us at all!
