“Let me tell you about Coach Al. He is absolutely amazing. I just followed a marathon training plan that he wrote for me. It felt simple but had its challenging moments. It incorporated his RunnerCore DVD into the plan. I felt like SuperWoman at marathon time (last weekend). I ran the Austin Marathon last weekend (only my second marathon ever) and I ran it in 3:35, qualifying for Boston with 10 minutes to spare!! I placed 14th out of 356 women in my age group. Top 5% of women overall and top 11% of all 5400 runners. I’d say Coach Al knows his stuff!! I have never felt better. My running has never been stronger. I will definitely continue using RunnerCore to stay injury-free and strong.”

Testimony from Andrea Vincent, Founder of See Mommy Run.

I used to run a lot including racing in 10k’s but with kids I gradually got out of the habit over the years. I would love to get back into it.

My running goal is to be able to run for 10 minutes without stopping. Obviously I am out of shape, and that would be my first goal!! I am starting off just running 1 minute non-stop. :)

I would love to do this to lose some weight.

  • 6 Barbara Moorman // Mar 15, 2008 at 9:43 pm

My husband is a Marine, and is all the time bragging about how fast he can run his course, or how long he can run, when it’s an endurance run. I am a stay at home mom, my youngest (5th) child is 4 1/2, and I have yet to lose all the ‘baby fat’ from when I had her. This would be an awesome way for me to both lose the weight, and to be able to participate in something that my husband is always doing to help him stay in shape and fit for the Marines.

I’m fat and tired of being that way. I need something to show me how to get started. I used to be a person, and I would love to find her again.

I’m just getting started working out. I’m trying to lose weight and get healthy. Right now, I’m still walking..trying to build up to a run. That’s what I would like to do if I won. Figure out how to progress from a walk to a run and build stamina.

  • 18 Mary @ Adventures in Mommyland // Mar 16, 2008 at 5:42 am

My goals are to just keep doing what I am doing now. I go to the gym about 6 days a week and do cardio, lift class, yoga, and pilates. thanks for the cool giveaway!

  • 19 Suzie // Mar 16, 2008 at 5:46 am

I don’t have any goals quite yet since I still have three weeks before I can get the exercise all clear from my doctor. I have baby weight to lose after that and really want to get back down to my pre-pregnancy weight.

Each year, I run a local 5K with many members of my husbands family. I always come in last. My goal this year is to break the 30 minute mark. This would still make me last, but it would be a nice improvement on my time.

  • 26 Suzanne Bastien // Mar 16, 2008 at 3:01 pm

This is coming at the BEST time! I had made a resolution this year to run in the Race for the Cure next year.

Being a single mom of 6 kids, 5 of them being girls I want to support the search for the cure early, before any of us have the issues!
It would be wonderful to start this now, my last baby is 9 weeks old and I can start my training now!

    Great giveaway!!

  • 27 Shania Duncan // Mar 16, 2008 at 3:41 pm

My goal is to get to a point where I can run for 5-10 minutes straight and not be wheezing and gasping for air. Right now I’m walking and soon will bump up to power walk and then the run.

  • 28 Betsy // Mar 16, 2008 at 7:12 pm

I actually started jogging last summer, but didn’t continue during the winter. I love to exercise using my ball, weights, and Pilates, but I really need something to commit to and get on fire again! I have slacked on my exercise routine and I need to get back to it!

  • 29 djp // Mar 16, 2008 at 7:22 pm

i;d like to walk at least a mile a day, let alone run anywhere

  • 30 Angie P. // Mar 16, 2008 at 9:18 pm

I am making the time for health, and have always wanted to “learn how to run”. My walking endurance is great, but I cannot keep running for a long time. I hope this information will help me overcome this hurdle so I can add regular running to my workouts.

  • 31 Kimberly R. // Mar 16, 2008 at 10:10 pm

This sounds exactly like what I need. I want to run but don’t know how to develop any endurance.

  • 32 Heather // Mar 16, 2008 at 10:17 pm

Right now my goal is to just figure out how to fit it into my schedule. I have always been able to return to running after having a baby but after having number four I haven’t figured out the logistics of keeping four kids busy and safe long enough for me to run on the treadmill!

  • 33 hazel hunt // Mar 16, 2008 at 10:55 pm

  • 34 Diane Perkins // Mar 16, 2008 at 11:40 pm

I set aside at east 30 minutes an evening. My husband entertains the children. I work two jobs and go to school. I just make it happen.

  • 36 Shirley Younger // Mar 17, 2008 at 12:30 am

  • 41 jen // Mar 17, 2008 at 2:07 pm

My fitness goals this year are to begin running again (stopped 3 yrs ago because of child-bearing and ITB problems), lose 10 lbs of post-partum fat/weight, and improve cardio health! My hubby and I signed up for a 5K this summer for motivation and my 2 yr old is training for her 20-yard run, too!

  • 42 sarah // Mar 17, 2008 at 3:01 pm

I’m into low impact things like yoga, I’d like to add something more cardio like jogging now that I’ve quit smoking!

I can use some running training

  • 46 Debbie Criss // Mar 18, 2008 at 2:32 am

Been lifting weights lately. Next month I’ll be back to walking in my pool for 1 hour each day. Last year I went down 4 sizes. I am changing my eating and fitness habits for life. I still have 4 more sizes to lose. I like to change my fitness routine so as I won’t be bored. Have thought about biking or running.

  • 47 Diane Kripp // Mar 18, 2008 at 4:17 am

I turned 40 earlier this year and want to lose about 20 pounds and gain muscle. My boyfriend has no interest in exercising to help with my goals, so I need to find a solo activity. I’ve been walking regularly, but need to go to the next level.

  • 48 Kelly Campbell // Mar 18, 2008 at 6:04 pm

I ran a couple of 5Ks a couple of years ago, but was never a serious runner and was pretty slow. I’m having a baby in a few weeks, and would love some training to help me get back in shape after the baby is born.

  • 49 Cindy // Mar 19, 2008 at 3:17 am

Since my pregnancy, I have been waiting for the baby weight to fall off. 16 months later, I know that I have to take action! Living in a rural area and being a stay at home mom, my fitness options are limited and I have been telling people that I want to start running in the mornings before my husband leaves for work. I feel that it is the best way to get a good cardio and burn calories, while enjoying the outdoors. I don’t know where to start or how to train appropriately. This program would be a blessing! Thank you for the opportunity.

  • 50 Amber // Mar 19, 2008 at 3:51 am

my fitness goal is to be able to keep up with the kids I already have and also to be in good enough shape to have a baby in about a year. I am doing pilates at home but i never know if i’m doing it right. :(

  • 51 Lara Aleff // Mar 19, 2008 at 7:45 am

This sounds great. My longest distance run was a 1/2 marathon last October. I’m not athletic but I do love to run. I usually stick to 5k’s. What I need to work on most is speed. My goal last year was to “make it to the finish line!”

  • 57 Christine E. // Mar 20, 2008 at 2:40 am

I used to run but haven’t in about a year. I really need to get back on track. I’m a treadmill runner and it’s difficult to stay motivated past six months for me.
