How many of you wear a hat every time you run because of that dreaded hair problem? My hair is shoulder length, layered and annoying! I’m currently in the process of growing it out so that I may have a simple PONYTAIL! Man, do I miss that ease of a ponytail- with hair that does NOT fall out of it. So, I went on a hunt for solutions to my hair problem.
I’m happy to say that I found Rebecca Buckley, proud owner of Bondibands!!
What was your inspiration to start this company?
I needed a headband to hold my bangs back and keep the sweat out of my eyes that did not slide off or give me a headache. There was nothing available so I decided to try to make one for myself. I got so many compliments whenever I wore one…that people started asking me to make one for them…and it turned into a business. I’ve been making Bondibands now for two years.
Where can I find a BondiBand?
You can buy them online from my website. I update the colors weekly. Or you can find me at a marathon expo. So far for 2008, I will be at the Nashville Marathon, Mrytle Beach Marathon, Los Angeles Marathon, Mardi Gras Marathon, Cowtown Marathon, just to name a few.
How many ways can you wear a BondiBand?
Bondibands can be worn a number of ways when you’re working out- I love them right on my forehead like Rebecca in the picture. They also work great under my cycling helmet! It helps keep the hair off my forehead, the sweat out of my eyes, and keeps the helmet snug on my head.

These look nice…but it looks like her domain expired – or was the link above incorrect?

The domain is fine… http://www.bondiband.com. I bought one to wear during the Boston Marathon last year. They are really inexpensive and they REALLY work. My hair is wild when I run so I need something to keep everything in line. My Bondi Band really helps. The biggest problem is that you have to buy 10 to keep your kids from stealing them!

I’m very excited about these. I just went to the Cowtown Marathon and purchased 3. I always wear a traditional headband while working out, but it always tends to fall out by my wiping my brow. I was assured this was going to be a great alternative!

What a selection this site has. The neon orange performance band would be great for my soccer playing granddaughter. The patterns are really appealing; I liked seasick and swoosh.
