I found some really awesome quotes in Road Bike Magazine (March/April 2008) that I wanted to share with you. Cycling is by far my favorite sport. I love the freedom that the bike gives me. The power I feel, when I’m fit and frisky. The wind on my face as I’m descending, the fantastic ideas I get when I’m out cruising…I just love to ride!
“Because I don’t know the words to Rock-A-By-Baby.” Kevin Shutt and Kaden, in burley, age 2.
“I ride for the energy to keep up with my two daughters and the longevity to see them grow up.” Oscar Contreras
“My hear beats, my blood flows, I’m awake when I get to work.” John Gilnick
“I started riding to lose weight; it has become an obsession, releasing me from the worries of a troubled world.” William Ward, MSgt/ WG-11
“Some people say, “I could have done that,” but I like to say, “I did that!” Riding makes a 60-year-old, like me, feel mighty good when I leave a bunch of 30 year olds in my dust. And riding makes an old man, like me, feel pretty neat when his grandkids say “My paw-paw can beat your (25 -year old) daddy!”
Why do you ride?

I ride because I’m addicted.

I started commuting to work several years ago to get some exercise on an old MTB. I bought my first road bike in Nov 07 and started bunch riding with the local Bike shop. Wow……. things have just progressed so much in the past 6 months.
My wife could see how much fun I’ve been having so now we ride at her pace 3x a week. She wants to get a road bike soon and participate in a Duathlon latter in the year.
