Paul, my husband, has been following Graeme Street’s Cyclo-Core, Cyclo-Zen cycling programs for the last two years. He has always been a serious “everyday” cyclist with a professional career and time is very limited. Al Lyman is the man who wrote the training programs that accompany Graeme’s DVD’s. Paul has had exceptional success on these programs. He went from an “off the back” cyclist to a top ten finisher in criteriums. He even holds a State Championship Jersey for his age group and category.
Al recently created Runner-Core for the runner and triathlete and I got a chance to talk to him about it today.

Coach Al Lyman
Coach Al holds certifications from USA Triathlon, USA Cycling, the Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is also an Associate with Joe Friel’s Ultrafit, which is universally recognized as among the most prestigious endurance coaching organizations in the world.
Tell me about runner-core.
Runner-Core was created to help runners from novice to advanced improve their strength, resiliency and recovery from running. There are three circuits with three intensity levels and each section takes 15 minutes. Specifically for moms, these workouts can easily be squeezed into overly scheduled days. It is designed to strengthen the core, improve low back power, and leg endurance.
In addition to all of that, there are several Bonus workouts designed to improve your running form by utilizing your muscles in new ways such as; “fix the hips”, “fix the knees”, and “core ab-blaster”.
What I learned from Coach Al Lyman.
Runners and cyclists can always go out for a ride, no problem. When it comes time for racing, it’s not the heart that slows you down. Your heart doesn’t stop beating in a race- it’s other issues that breakdown and cause you to slow down. Runners need strength training to resist fatigue. Personally, I am one of those people who focus on the WORKOUT- whatever it is on that day (because I love it all)- running, cycling, strength training- but nothing that is specific for my particular chosen sport. These workouts are designed to improve strength and flexibility for running.
He is an incredibly nice guy whose passion it is to help YOU or ME improve their performance in endurance sports. He also has an incredibly informative and interesting website called Pursuit-Fitness.

FOR YOU READERS!!
He has created a special page just for you. He’s new program is on SALE to you at a 15% discount and it’s only for you. He will make you a better runner. I am on the path to better performance on the bike and in running.
You can buy your own Runner-Core here.

Very nice. I’ve been meaning to try Runner-Core sometime so I can compare it to Cyclo-Core (which I love.)
