“iRUNLIKEAGIRL was started three years ago and the business has been growing each year since then. It is a feel good brand. ” Jennifer says that the slogan will have different meanings to different people. For some it means “girl power”- I’m fast, strong and confidant- those that can run a 3:15 marathon, for example. For others it means “I’m out here running” and it’s fun. To the founder, after personal tragedy, the name meant “I’m still running…I’m sad about the loss of my mother but I’m still running.” Another story of “girl power” was of a team of one girl on an all boys cross country team. The message is great. It’s positive, quirky and upbeat. It’s not just a light hearted t-shirt – it’s more about what it means to the person wearing it. Jennifer compared herself to the Life is Good brand and that someday “she could aspire to be like that.” For just three years into the business, she offers cute t-shirts, technical running shirts, hoodies, hats, and fleece head bands. In the future, she has designs for jewelry, pink hoodies, and maybe someday have it sold in retail running shops, but for now, you can purchase the products online at iRUNLIKEAGIRL or at running expos.
