There are days when there is just no time to workout. Sometimes I miss my morning run due to rain, sleep deprivation, or crying babies. Sometimes, I just don’t have the energy to get out and ride or run or get to the YMCA. This is ok, rest and recovery is good, however, I do try to do one thing everyday. On the days when I can’t workout, for one reason or another, I can always find 8 minutes in my day to do this video.
Graeme Street has complete cycling DVD’s, training programs, and a website designed for the everyday cyclist. My husband has been following his programs for two years now and has gone from an “off the back” cyclist to a state champion. The workouts are specific, goal oriented, and short. Most of the workouts take 45 minutes or less. It’s a combined program of cycling, yoga, and strength training.
The 8 minute power routine is just one of the routines on these DVD’s and it is a combination of hindu squats, chair pose, abdominals, and up-dog to down dog with a push-up between each one. My quads are massively sore the next day, but I love that!! At the end of the video, he challenges you to do it again. My husband can do it two times through without stopping. In addition, there is a fantastic 30 minute recovery yoga, and an interview with Dr. Rick Liva. All are incredibly useful and reliable DVD’s to use and follow on a regular basis.
What do you think you could do?
It is best that you have the perfect triathlon training schedule to be more effective.
