So, we’ve established that I have a running date at 6AM three mornings a week. It’s been 40 degrees here every morning, YIKES! That’s cold for Redlands. My teammates and I have been participating in events (5km’s, mini-triathlons) that are really early in the morning our heads have been really cold.
It’s also important to have a warm head when working out. Cold heads mean cold bodies! My requirements for a running beanie is NON-ITCY, ability to stay put, and functional. I can do stylish after the race! For cycling, you can buy ear warmers that look like a head band and it can fit under your helmet and there is also head covers “do rags” for under helmets (I haven’t tried).
Second, I’d like a stylish hat to wear after the event so I can still look good without that hat head problem. Here is what I found on what’s available for active women (great stocking stuffers, too). Team Estrogen offers a fabulous selection of hats, hair bands, and cycling clothes. They are cute hair ponies and head bands with cools prints on them. Athleta was another good resource for stylish post race hats as well as some innovative hair bands for yoga, see below.
