Running in the cold?

December 2nd, 2007 · 4 Comments

My running partner and I have a date every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6am. We run for 30 minutes at a really good pace – like 8 minute miles and we chat the whole time. Our main topic of conversation is usually babies- hers is 6 months old and I have two ages 4 and 1 1/2- teething, sleepless nights, work schedules, juggling, you name it we’ve discussed it. It’s a great time to just get out and run fast! However, it is still dark at 6am and it is COLD- for Southern California- 40 degrees when we start is cold for us. Digging through our closets at 5:30 AM is tricky cause we don’t want to wake anybody up! But the need for new – WARM clothes has been a constant problem lately. We get hot within 10 minutes of starting wearing a fleece vest or a running jacket- but we need more than a thin shirt.

So, I did a little research at one of my favorite women’s workout clothing companies, Title Nine and checked out what they offered.

We really need long sleeve, warm, moisture wicking high-performance workout tops and bottoms. These pieces fit into all my above criteria. The red top even has a hoody attached equip with a ponytail hole and the sleeves are long enough to get your fingers warm.

Readers, I need your input! If you have got a great running top or pants that are high performing, please POST A COMMENT!
